We want you to always know when money or free stuff is involved. This page explains how Magnolia Megan makes money and how we label it. It applies to magnoliamegan.com, Club Magnolia, Club+, our Discord community, and our social media accounts.

How We Make Money

Magnolia Megan is a small, independent business. We earn money through:

Sponsored content: businesses can pay us to feature them in an article, guide, newsletter, or social post.
Newsletter sponsorships and ads: businesses can pay for a sponsor spot in Club Magnolia or for display ads on our site.
Club+ memberships: members pay a monthly fee for exclusive offers and content.
Partner offers: businesses give Club+ members discounts. Some partners also pay us, or give us free or discounted products or experiences.
Hosted experiences: sometimes a business invites us to visit, eat, or stay for free or at a reduced price.

How We Label It

Sponsored posts are labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the article, guide, or newsletter section, and name the business that paid.
Hosted visits are labeled at the top of the post, for example: "We were hosted by [Business]. All opinions are our own."
Newsletter sponsors and ads are labeled "Sponsored."
Club+ partner offers are clearly presented as offers from our partner businesses.
On social media, we use the platform's paid partnership tools and labels like #ad or #sponsored.

If a post has no label, nobody paid us for it and we didn't get anything for free.

Our Promise

Our opinions are always our own. We only feature places we actually like, whether or not they pay us, and we never let a business tell us what to say. Being a sponsor or partner does not buy a positive review.
